VU provided outstanding service and assistance through out our purchasing experience,
Rachel and her team made the process simple and manageable. My questions were answered quickly and her solutions were understandable and simple.
The overall process was more tedious than other VA lenders and the appraiser’s they use do not do their jobs. A $700 appraisal still had the VA buyer have to go out and take pictures of smoke alarms.

I’m sorry to hear the process felt more tedious than expected and that the appraisal added extra frustration. VA appraisers are independent and sometimes need additional proof, like photos of smoke alarms, to meet the VA’s requirements. There is no way I could have done this on my own and other loan companies made the process seem daunting and overly complex. With the guidance of my loan officer from Veterans United, I never felt uneasy about what to do next or if I wasn't getting enough information. He made all of the difference for me and I really felt like I was his main priority. My journey was a breeze thanks to him!
