My refinance experience was extremely frustrating. The biggest issue was the lack of clear communication throughout the process. I was constantly receiving new requests for documents, with no proper explanation of why they were needed or how they affected the process.The process felt like an endless list of requirements without transparency or guidance. What was initially presented to me as the expected closing cost kept increasing, and by the end, the cash needed at closing had grown by approximately $3,000 compared to the original estimate.I understand that refinancing can require documentation and adjustments, but better communication, transparency, and proactive updates would have made the experience much less stressful. Unfortunately, the lack of clarity and the unexpected increase in costs left me disappointed with the overall service.

It felt like working with people who had never funded a mortgage for people out of state. This is 2026, not the 1900’s and you have VETERAN in your name. We are known for moving a lot. It’s embarrassing that something that has my title of veteran in the name is so unorganized and painfully bad. I got tired of apologizing for constantly changing standards. Especially the ones the day of closing. Paperwork that they had for weeks prior to closing. At the end of it all, the people we were working with swore to never work with VU again if it involved a POA. That is embarrassing. I wish you would get veteran out of your name. I’m tired of everything that has my title in it being of poor quality.Crystal was the only person who made it manageable. She would respond to questions even faster than I expected her to and really made it easier. She was actually competent and seemed to actually understand what stresses we were under. Bob was good in the beginning but seemed very disconnected from it all and was difficult to contact at times.
