We HIGHLY recommend Veterans United to anyone looking to experience a stress-free home purchase! From the very beginning, our team was prompt and polite, and answered every question or concern we had, even if it did not apply directly to their side of the process. They keep in constant communication the entire time and make sure you understand everything that is happening right now and what the next steps will be. We are so very happy we chose Veterans United for our first home purchase, and would definitely come back for any more we may have in the future!
The market was timed incorrectly and I ended up with a 6.75% interest rate when it was 6.25 - 6.50% for weeks leading up to the close. I wished it would’ve been locked in during that time.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Jeffery,
I’m sorry to hear you’re feeling frustrated about the timing of your interest rate lock. I completely understand how disappointing it must be to see rates fluctuate and feel like the opportunity to secure a lower rate was missed.
Locking in a rate can be one of the most challenging parts of the homebuying process, especially in a market that’s constantly shifting. That said, I truly appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us. Feedback like this helps us understand how we can better communicate with our borrowers during such important milestones.
If you’d like to talk more about your experience or have any lingering questions, I’d encourage you to reach out to our Client Advocate team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re here to help and would love the chance to learn more.
Thank you for allowing us to help with your homebuying journey, and I hope you’re enjoying your new home.
After navy federal declined my mortgage application outside of my due diligence period, I found myself desperately looking for another lender. Veterans United answered and didn’t turn me away. While their mortgage rates are not the best around, they worked well with me (a 1099 employee with under 2 years of employment tax documents) and managed to close on a house with me during the holiday season. I am thankful for the team of coordinators and real estate agents provided for me. Happy new year!
Second time using Veterans United. Great experience like almost 8 years ago. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and would keep honest communication with myself. Thanks Krystal and Solibel, for your patience working with me. They we’re great. Next house purchase I plan on working with VU again, but that’s going to be a while from now.
I thank everyone who helped me in this process of buying my home they did an excellent job. Being able to handle everything that was needed to be done. They made the process of buying a home seem less stressful and smooth. I appreciate the hard work they put in for my loan and I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family.
I was really confused a lot of the process and had to do a lot of outside research because everytime I asked questions to my realtor he would make it like my questions was a issue and it got to the point I recieve a new realtor
Response from Veterans United
Hi Jahzlon,
I’m really sorry to hear that your homebuying experience left you feeling confused and unsupported. It’s so important to have a team that helps guide you through the process and answers your questions with care, and I’m sorry that wasn’t the case for you. Buying a home can already feel overwhelming, and having to do outside research on top of everything else adds unnecessary stress—I truly apologize for that.
While I’m glad you were able to move forward with a new realtor, I’d love for my team to have the chance to look into what happened on our end to see how we can improve the experience for future homebuyers. If you’re open to it, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.
Your feedback is incredibly important to us, and we want to learn from your experience to do better. I hope you’re enjoying your new home now that the process is behind you.
