This process started out is only a dream. I made a simple phone call from a Google search and ended up with Veterans United, Alberto and his team. What a God send. It is amazing and I am astounded at how smooth they really make the process. Along every single step they knew exactly what they were doing. The smallest of details were taken care of by their team. Veterans have enough to deal with with many returning from war, deployment, and time away from their families. It’s comforting to know that there’s a company out there that looks out for their well-being. Unfortunately, 10 is the highest grade you can grade someone on their scale, in our opinion, they deserve a much higher score. My first experience with VU was phenomenal. My second loan experience with them was a bit of a let down. They charged me fees on things that I don't think they should have. All of the small fees add up. When someone is buying a home, they need to save as much as possible. There are way too many unnecessary fees, perhaps VU could downsize its unnecessary personnel and programs, and that would allow it to cut out some of the fees.

I understand how frustrating it can feel when costs add up, especially when you’re trying to be as financially prepared as possible during a home purchase.
Concerns about fees are important. You should always feel clear about what you’re being charged for and why. While many costs in a mortgage transaction are standard or third-party related, that does not lessen the impact they have on you. If anything felt unnecessary or insufficiently explained, that’s something I would want to review.
